LaRitzy is a women’s subscription box that includes 4-5 full-size and luxury-size non-toxic and cruelty-free beauty products. There are different subscription options that vary in price and get cheaper with duration, but the low commitment month-to-month option is $24.99/month. Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Hand Cream – Ooh, this hand cream keeps poppin’ up in subby boxes, and I love it! Y’all know how obsessed I am with anti-aging errthang… this is organic anti-aging hand cream! It’s nice and thick, and it’s loaded with aloe, peptides, jojoba, vitamin C, malic acid, and shea butter which can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. What I wanna know is, can I use it on mah face, too?? 😉
Yarok Hair Feed Your Ends Leave-In Conditioner – This is another item that has appeared in vegan subscription boxes as well. This leave-in conditioner spray is packed with vitamins, minerals and essential oils that can protect your hair from blow drying and heat styling. It also has a looovely earthy EO scent that makes my nose holes happy. 🙂 For someone (me me ME) who is BFF with her straight iron, this spray is essential. It’s a great travel size, too!
Strange Invisible Perfumes Body Wash – The two scents of all-natural organic body wash included were Lavender & Vetiver and Sage & Rose. I’m eager for the day we can transport scents via the interwebs, ’cause these smell DIVINE… total nasal arousal goin’ down at VBR headquarters. Heads up, though, the full-size 8 oz. version of these bad boys are spency… $45! They do smell incredible…
Zak Body Unscented Detox Deodorant – I’m not the biggest fan of unscented beauty products (life is too short to not smell frilly, ya know?), but I was excited to test out a new brand of all-natural deodorant. When I looked up the ingredients online, I noticed it contained beeswax, which y’all know is not vegan, womp. I’ll probably be gifting this to a friend of family member. This is a cruelty-free beauty box, but I feel like if LaRitzy knew there was a demand for vegan box options, they would hook us up! Strange Impossible Fair Verona Eau de Parfum – OMG, this Fair Verona scent is a blend of jasmine, sandalwood, mimosa & pink grapefruit, and it smells AMAAAAAZE!!! … so much that’s it’s heartbreaking ($285 for 1.7 oz.!) Wanna hear the saddest story of all time (well, not quite, but it’s sad)? My mini boo thang got his toddler hands on mah liquid gold sample and spilled 2/3 of the content. Mommy kept her sh*t together, but dang! 😉
The value of this box was ~$53 which is pretty sweet. Loved the goodies inside – some were old loves, some were new (and super exciting). My only gripe is that it wasn’t 100% vegan (see below, though!).
UPDATE!! From Emily, LaRitzy co-founder – “We officially announced that we are completely vegan a few weeks ago. The October boxes were sent out before the announcement and the beeswax must have slipped in the curation process. The good news is, all boxes from now on will be 100% vegan and cruelty-free. We’ve been listening to all the feedback we’re getting and doing our best to make LaRitzy a box that our customers will get excited about every month.”
